Well, we have returned from Italy after our wedding last Wednesday, we had such an amazing week, it really was unforgettable. From the moment we were collected from the airport in the coaches, everything was made so easy and special for us.
On the day of the service, the string quartet were absolutely amazing, the music was so beautiful, and all our guests commented on them. Father Domenico was such an amazing priest, he made us feel very welcome, at ease, comfortable and laugh, he was really terrific. I wanted to do a surprise proposal and wedding for my girlfriend. I did a LOT of research into how to go about an Italian marriage. I have written to the US Consulate, Italian Consulate, Chamber of Commerce here and in Italy, as well as studying four companies who said they could assist me.
I contacted references both in the e-mail and telephone. Basically I have lived this whole plan for the past 6 months! I can send along the names of other services if anyone likes, but it will merely be education, you will end up with ATLANTIS, I guarantee it!
I cannot say enough about their professionalism. They escorted us through all the paperwork at the City Hall as well as the US Consulate. They actually knew more about the whole process than the girl at the US Consulate.
They arranged for limo, flowers, the location, paperwork, photographer, witnesses and even handled tips and negotiations so that on my wedding day all I had to do was show up!
They are located right there, the others mostly had agents in Italy handling it. I checked all their references and anyone feels the same, a totally first class operation start to finish!"

It was the best decision we could have made. The second best decision we made was working with ATLANTIS. Everything was set to perfection. One thing I was concerned about was how to organize from the States. We had some friends that used Atlantis about 6 months before us and they recommended the company.
Honestly not one thing went wrong! I know that's hard to believe, but it's true. They set it up where we really did not have to stress about anything. We had two meetings in order to sign a few papers and we were only there for about one hour if that each time.
Atlantis set up the flowers, photographer, horse and carriage and reception, included the wedding cake. All was wonderful. Italy does things a little different and you can always count on it being beautiful as well as being the best things you've ever tasted!!!

If your wedding is anything like ours it will be the best day of your life. It may sound a bit romanticized, but it was a wonderful day for Jill and I; I wouldn't have changed anything. I would be happy to recommend Sandra and her services. She did an excellent job of making all the necessary arrangements for our wedding, walked us through all of the paperwork, helped us find a shop to purchase wedding clothes (they made Jill's dress in two days), and arranged a photographer to record our special day. She reserved city hall, the Palazzo Vecchio, for the ceremony, a beautiful horse and carriage ride through the city, and a fantastic wedding lunch at the Palazzo Borghese. Jill and I did not have a traditional wedding. We eloped!! We spent several months planning our wedding and did not share the plans with anyone or any family. I will admit I told a few people I work with but that was basically the only people who knew of our plans.
We had our wedding in Firenze. We fell in love with the sights of the city and the Palazzo Vecchio. It is a beautiful building! It has so much character and history and some beautiful works of art.
We did not experience any unexpected costs. All of the costs were as Sandra had stated in her proposal to us. Everything was up front and honest.
We were very happy with the photographer and the pictures that were taken. They were not what I would consider traditional. There were some posed photos, but most were more candid shots that captured the excitement of the ceremony and the time that followed. The photographer took the photos and gave us the film to process. It worked out very well.

I married Rusty Jacobsen, on September 16th, in Florence, Italy. It was a wonderful experience for us. I was worried about the wording of the vows. But, we were both pleased that they focused on making a commitment to the family that we were creating (as opposed to obey and such). I also though that I would miss having my family and friends around, but as soon as we walked out of the Palazzo Vecchio people were asking to take our picture, and some wanted to have their picture taken with us. As we took the carriage ride through the city people would clap and yell congratulations in several different languages. It was wonderful.
All of Sanda's recommendations were right on the mark. Everything from the dress shop to our wedding lunch to the beauty salon was perfect. If you decide to get married in Florence, I would recommend the Palazzo Borghese for the reception. The food and service was incredible. The day after our wedding, Sandra arranged for a car and driver to take us on a wine tasting tour of the Chianti valley. It was fantastic, the driver was able to translate for us in the more remote areas and it has been fun looking for wine from vineyards we visited.
